Supported by NIH, NSF, and U.S. military funding, their flagship device, Sotair, features a proprietary flow-limiting valve that caps peak inspiratory flow below 55 LPM to help reduce excessive airway pressures and minimize risks of over-ventilation.

Sotair is especially valuable when used with supraglottic airways (SGAs), where controlling pressure helps reduce the likelihood of air leaks, gastric insufflation, and device dislodgement. With intuitive haptic, auditory, and visual feedback, Sotair guides providers in real time and requires less than 30 seconds of training.

To support skill development, SafeBVM created SotairIQ, an advanced training platform that delivers real-time feedback on flow, pressure, volume, rate, and inspiratory time. Designed to build muscle memory and deepen understanding of ventilation dynamics, SotairIQ prepares providers to deliver more deliberate and controlled ventilation in any clinical scenario.
